Individual Intervention

Intervention includes a trained teacher working one-on-one with each student and parent. In these sessions we concentrate on specific strategies, designed to help our students to be all that they can be

All ages are welcomed to these bi-monthly or weekly sessions.

Wake Up and Sing

A biweekly class for our students and their parents taught by a music specialist and a family counselor. These classes incorporate learning through movement, tactile exploration, singing, storytelling and fun!

Families discuss topics that affect their children and families. Parents learn to advocate for their children. The groups foundation of music and story is designed to increase parent and child bonding.

Small Group Classes

These weekly classes are designed for children three and older, diagnosed with cortical visual impairment, traumatic brain injury, or any multiple disabilities. Three or more teachers and parents are a part of this class. This class focuses on the individual needs of each child, social group skills and early literacy. We also study adaptive science, math, reading, PE, art and independent studies.

Support Group Services

Support for parents, grandparents, siblings and other extended family members is a primary concern for Ms. Gussie's Place. Individual and family support sessions are offered upon request at any time.
